Hunger for global transformation

Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV) – "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

Think
As followers of Jesus, we are part of something huge! God's family extends across the whole world. A people united by God's Spirit as we follow Jesus together. This worldwide family is a direct result of Jesus' great commission in Matthew 28 but that doesn't mean the job is done! Hungering for God means we also hunger for the transformation of the world. Today, let's pray for the global church and the furthering of the gospel around the world. Ask God how he is calling you to be part of this mission to transform the world. As we worship together at Breathe this evening let's praise God for holding the whole world in his hands!

Pray
God over the whole world, thank you that you hold the whole world in your hands. Thank you that because of faithful stewards of the gospel I have been able to hear the good news of Jesus and follow him. Empower those who are sharing the gospel around the world to speak in truth and love. May their mission be fruitful as you move in power. Help me, Lord, to play my part in taking the gospel to every corner of the world so that every life might be transformed by Jesus. Amen
