Tracing Ancestors in Farnborough

Only the current Parish Registers are held at St Peter's.  All previous registers and related documents have been deposited with the Surrey History Service.  Please also check our Monumental Inscriptions web pages which contain details of  the MIs in our church and churchyard

Other useful sources of information for tracing ancestors in Farnborough are:-

• The Hampshire Record Office has many useful resources for family historians including Hampshire Parish Registers (Church of England) of baptisms, marriages and burials from 1538 to the present day.  For more information check out their website at http://www.hants.gov.uk/record-office 
• GENUKI serves as a "virtual reference library" of genealogical information that is of particular relevance to the UK & Ireland. It is a noncommercial service, provided by volunteers in cooperation with the Federation of Family History Societies and a number of its member societies.
• The site, provided by the Family Records consortium, aims to help you find the government records and other sources needed for family history research.
• Hampshire Genealogical Society  has been helping with family history research in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight for over 27 Years
• West Surrey Family History Society.  The objectives of the society are to collect, index, co-ordinate, publish and make accessible, in the interests of genealogy, any documents or records relating to the ancient County of Surrey.
• The Park Crematorium - Guildford Road, Aldershot maintains records of cremations at the Park Crematorium together with records of burials at the following cemeteries:-
