St Peter's Soul Café

Low level lighting, café style tables and light refreshments combine to create a great atmosphere.
Add to this a high quality cabaret act and you can be assured of a great evening out with friends.

The event in February saw the return of John Archer- comedian/magician.
Due to the success of his last visit we invited him back for two nights.
He amazed and entertained a packed house both evenings. (Photos)
John’s humour, magic and love for God kept us all on the edge of our seats and the room was buzzing afterwards as we tried to work out just how did he get that £20 note into his wallet?

Soul Space

Building on the café format of Soul Café, Soul Space is designed to create a relaxed environment to help each of us explore a bit more what relevance God has to the world in the 21st. Century.
A fast moving presentation combines video clips, news reviews, trivia quiz, drama, music and short talk.  An evening, which is fun, thought provoking and an opportunity to relax with friends is on offer at Soul Space.

The latest Soul Space was entitled “It’s a Wonderful Life.” (Photos)
Hosted by Susan Salter & Nick Williams there were many high points:
In the clip of the 1940’s film James Stewart realised that he did indeed  have a wonderful life.
John Rugg shared the difference Jesus has made to his life.
The Soul Band performed superbly and included David Sneddon’s recent hit “Living the Lie”.
The Soul Theatre Co. delighted us with the hidden discontent of Mr Perfecto.
Nick encouraged everyone to reflect on the fullness of life that comes from knowing Jesus.
The evening was rounded off with a clip from Shrek, which had everyone singing along to “I’m a Believer”.

See Church Diary for date of next  Soul Space.
