| How can I give to the Mission Fund? | Cash collections
One a month the cash collections at Sunday services will be for the support of mission. These collections are not designated for particular causes, they go to the general mission fund for allocation against the above priorities. Envelope scheme There is a separate Mission Fund envelope scheme, which has two advantages over just putting cash in the collections. Firstly, it enables people to give to the Mission Fund at any service, not just on Mission Sundays. Secondly, it allows the Mission Fund to recover tax on gifts from taxpayers. Cheques should be payable to St Peter's Mission Fund. Bankers order Donating regularly by bankers order is the best and most widely used form of giving to the Mission Fund. It is easiest for the donor, and like the envelope scheme it allows the Mission Fund to recover tax on gifts from taxpayers. Charities Aid The Charities Aid Foundation enables Givers to deposit money in an account from which gift aid tax relief is reclaimed. The Giver uses a Charity credit - rather like a cheque - or a Card to make donations to charity. Charity Credits can be used to make donations to the Mission Fund. Cheques Should be made payable to St Peter's Mission Fund. |
