Gone is the beauty of that modest flow'r,
So sweet, so lovely in it's vernal bloom;
The noon tide sun hath drunk the morning show'r,
And death hath pluck'd it, to adorn the tomb!
Transplanted hence to Eden's blissful soil,
It's form shall brighten and it's bloom revive;
Nurtur'd by Him, whom blights can ne'er despoil,
The flow'r now wither'd, shall for ever live!
So she whose soul hath left this frail abode;
Shall rise immortal, summon'd by her God!

PHOTOGRAPH
Sacred to the memory of
KATHARINE SOPHIA COX
relict of JOSEPH COX Esqr of Stanford Berks
who died Jan 13th 1780 in the 76th year of her age
having strictly fulfilled the several duties of
wife, parent & friend.
Her/justice & generosity
were truely noble; & (contrary to her wishes)
in some instances too conspicuous to be conceal'd.
Her social disposition endeared her to all
and gladdened ev'ry circle.
In her/frugality/was the brightest virtue
as it was practised only to supply the means of/charity.
Full of years respected & belov'd
she met her dissolution
with the same serenity she had lived
in humble hope of divine acceptance
through the merits & intercession of a
crucified Redeemer

PHOTOGRAPH
Sacred to the memory of/MARY
wife of GEORGE MORANT Esqr of Farnborough
Place who died Feb 17th 1838 aged 47 years
She followed whilst on Earth the
narrow path which leadeth to/salvation
Her life was a life of charity
her tenderness of heart
and the benevolence of her disposition
endeared her alike to the lowly and rich
her value as a wife
and the kindness and extreme affection
of her parental conduct
can alone be felt by a bereaved husband
and children who mourn her irreparable loss:
living she rejoiced in a firm tho' humble faith in Jesus
and when her gentle spirit left this world
she was through the merits of the redeemer
prepared to meet her God.
May we die the death of the righteous
and may our last end be like hers
