We would love to see you at our family service held at 9.30 every
Sunday!
We start off in church with a mixture of songs, activities, Bible
reading and prayer. We love having children in our services and
their contribution - and we don't mind them making noise!
On our family services - the first Sunday of the month - we stay
together and have a short talk about the Bible reading - which is
usually interactive.
On the other Sundays the children go out to groups for their age-range.
These groups start at 3 months and continue to 11years. The children
enjoy learning and having fun together. On these Sundays the adults
have a longer talk and more time for songs and prayer. We value
the whole range of ages at the 9.30 service from babies right up
to several in their 90s and every decade in between! There are lots
of opportunities to get involved e.g. with welcome, music, readings
and refreshments.
Young People who are aged 11+ are welcome at the 9.30 service and
they have their own groups later in the day (see Youth pages for
details). Many young People who come to 9.30 also get involved with
helping in the children's groups, helping with the computer to put
details onto the screen during services, drama, puppets and Bible
reading.
We normally have a communion service on the 4th Sunday of the month.
After every service we have refreshments in the parish centre, which
gives us a chance to chat!

"The
9.30am service is ideal for families with its informal and
relaxed atmosphere - we felt immediately welcomed and included.
The range of children's activities and groups is especially
important for us as our children need to enjoy and feel they
are part of the church as they grow up."

"I
like the informality of the 9.30 service - the buzz and sense
of expectancy as people come into the church. When the children
go out to their groups, the service takes on a more reflective
tone and we benefit from excellent Bible teaching and practical
instruction for our daily lives. It is also great to catch
up with friends after."
