It was a very interesting talk on a subject we should all make ourselves well aware.

Have you seen the advert about AMD on the television? It is the most common cause of visual impairment in the developed world. In the UK 250,000 people are registered visually impaired due to the condition and roughly the same are affected by it to a lesser degree.

On the website you can also find a simple test to indicate the onset of MD called the Amsler Grid.

Although there was a question time afterwards, the speaker, David, was busy afterwards with some ladies wanting to talk to him on a one to one basis or in a small group.

The bring and buy was busy and the retiring collection was a reasonable amount which is going to the Macular Disease Society.
