Jill Balcombe welcomed everyone with prayers for our ladies who were ill and with other notices, including Holiday at Home and Classic Praise. Also Lorna presented the birthday corsages to the ladies who had birthdays in June.

Jackie Manning started with a flower quiz. Jill followed with a visual postcard quiz and Jackie finished with a general knowledge quiz. It got the brain working, a bit of fun, but no prizes at the end except a lovely tea. The ladies had provided the savoury and sweet delights. Cups of tea, strawberries and cream were distributed around. Background music was played but there was a lot of chatter so probably not heard by many.

It was a lovely afternoon thanks to everyone, especially Derek Reed who set up and put away all the tables and chairs, to Lorna for the lovely flowers and to the ladies that made the tea and served it and the strawberries and cream, to Phil for helping with the teas and stacking chairs etc... and to Jill who was the organiser in Chris's absence.
