Aims

The aims of the Ladies Breakfast are quite simple. They are to offer friendship, fellowship and fun  to all who attend and most importantly to gently introduce all our visitors to the Christian Faith. We have two big breakfasts a year in the Spring and the Autumn which are open to church members, friends, neighbours and other churches in Farnborough or the surrounding area. Visitors are encouraged without much persuasion to come again and at the Autumn Breakfast  the Alpha Course is always advertised.

History

The Ladies Breakfast was started over 15 years ago as a result of popular demand by the ladies of St Peters. From the first time it was held the breakfast attracted over 100 ladies and has grown considerably since then.

There is a very small team who organise it including a chef who recruits over 40 men to help with cooking serving and washing up!  A cooked breakfast is always on offer.

The speakers come from a wide variety of life including those who work for the BBC, authors, poets and comediennes. We also have  those with a mission in all areas of the world including the Street Children of Columbia, the warring tribes in Africa etc. 'However, what each speaker has in common is their Christian faith, which they gently bring into their talks.

Next Breakfast

The next Ladies Breakfast will be hald on Saturday 28th April 2012 and the speaker will be Julia Crellin (details shortly)

There is a loop system available if you are hard of hearing. This should work anywhere in the hall but is better away from the noise of the kitchen.

Tickets on sale after services from Sunday 25th March 2012 - for further details contact Rosemary Bird by emailing: admin@stpetersfarnborough.org.uk
